Currently automatic workflows are by calendar only. We have a variety of emails we send out, and depending on what the email is about it can have a different approval chain. So what happens is we end up creating a child calendar for every possible combination of content type and audience, making those additional attributes somewhat redundant.
What would be nice is if when adding an item to the calendar it could assign different workflows based on the content type or audience. This would allow us to reduce the number of calendars, and make the different filtering features more useful, and reduce how often we have to customize a workflow after the fact, or, what's worse, people ignore the workflow feature altogether and handle everything outside of Divvy.
