Canto is a popular digital asset management (DAM) platform used by hundreds of companies around the globe. As a repository for creative assets, it's a big time saver when your repository can be directly connected to your content planning and production hub. To that end, Divvy's integration with Canto should bring greater efficiencies to your content workflow and eliminate some of the platform hopping often found within the content production process.
IMPORTANT NOTE: In order to use this integration, you'll need to be an existing Canto customer.
Here's a helpful article to learn about how to connect your existing Canto account and attach files from your Canto repository directly to your Divvy content projects.
How to Connect
To connect your DivvyHQ account with Canto, you can go to the Attachments tab of a content item you are working on, and click the Attach from Canto button.
A pop-up window will display and from there, simply plug in your Canto login credentials or click the Login with SSO if that is currently enabled for your Canto account:
That's it... You're connected!
Browse Your Repository
From there, you will see your Canto file repository and you can browse for a file that you'd like to attach. You can also utilize the Global Search to find a file by a specific tag.
Note: You can filter by file type, but not specifically png or jpg. Instead, it's just filtering on images.
When you single click an individual file, the interface will expand and provide more details on the file.
Attach One or More Files
To attach a single file to your Divvy content item, select the file and click Confirm (shown above). To attach multiple images, simply click the bubble in the top right of the file(s) you wish to attach, and then click the Insert button in the top right corner.
The files will then populate into the Attachments tab. Note that it may take a few seconds to show the preview/thumbnail version of images.
If you wish to log out of your Canto account when you are done, simply click the Power icon in the top right of the Canto file browser interface.
Note: At this time, your connection to Canto through DivvyHQ will expire after 24 hours. You will need to re-log into Canto with your credentials (or use SSO) to gain access to the Canto platform again.
