With the launch of our new integrations admin and content and social publishing features, you can now eliminate platform hopping and easily post social content, including images, directly to Facebook and Twitter. Many other channels are also in the works.
Let’s take a quick look at how to connect your publishing channels and post content.
Head up to your My Profile menu in the top right and look for Integrations Admin. This area will be your homebase for all current and future platform integrations as they become available.
To add your first connection, click Add Connection and select a channel from the list of available integrations. Let’s connect a Facebook page for this example. Once I select Facebook, our platform contacts Facebook to authorize the connection. You’ll then proceed through a series of screens to give Divvy permission to connect to your page and post content.
With the channel connection established, you can now determine which members of your team should be granted publishing rights for this channel. Simply drag and drop available team members to either the channel admins or team members areas.
Now you’re probably wondering…”what’s the difference between those two areas?”. Channel admins can post content to this channel, they can add or remove users, and they can delete the channel connection altogether. Team members, on the other hand, can only post content to this channel.
Ok, we’ve established a connection to our Facebook page. Now let’s post some content!
To keep this demo short, I’ve already created a new content item that is ready to post. Let me point out three quick things before we post this.
Firstly, the text that lives in this Summary/Description/Social Post field is what will be used as your social post text. So consider this your post’s “final draft”.
Secondly, if you are wanting to publish an image with your social post, you’ll need to upload your image to the Attachments panel in the content editor.
Lastly, once you’ve established a publishing channel connection, you’ll now see a green POST button in the top right of the content editor. If you haven’t connected a channel, you will not see this button.
When you’re ready to post your content, click the Post button. In the Post Content Item overlay, select your desired publishing channel and make sure your post text is good to go. If posting an image, click the image icon and select the image that will accompany the post. If you’d like to go ahead and mark this content item as published, click the checkbox in the lower left. When you’re ready, click POST.
That’s it! Your post is now live on Facebook.
We hope these new features help you streamline your social publishing workflow. Thanks for watching and Happy Divvying!
